http://newgads.com/ The website is only 80 90 percent done. It's without contents (deals & post) right now. When it is done i will repost again here. Can you please review my site as i am going to start next week and i want to get some serious suggestions so that if i have to change the layout of my site before I launch it. Key areas I would like feedback on are: design, navigation, accessibility, SEO related things and anything else you can think of. Thank you. I wouldnt mind any harsh critiques because i really need to know which part of my site i have to improve.. Thank you. |

Report this post Personally I like the colors, and the layout is ok. The graphics are clean and colorful. You may want to lighten the small black text that appears on the blue background areas, as it is very hard to read. Also, the black text on the grey background does not appear very well. One thing that might be helpful is having some type of tagline under your site name. As is, the viewer needs to browse the page to get what it is your site is about; A simple tagline gets your sites concept/message across quickly. If the "Reserved for banners" area is to help display your sites' message, that would be helpful also. Doing a mouseover on the buttons under "Newest Posts", there is some type of box trying to appear below this box, however it is cut off at the top. In the list of categories at the bottom, showing the number of entries in each category might be helpful to the viewer. I see you have a forum/CMS integrated. I'm wondering what the overall purpose of it is, as I don't see anything mentioning what it is for or why it's useful. Without registering, I'm guessing that viewers register with the site, then use the forums to post their products? Your "Getting Started" page doesn't seem to go anywhere, so I would assume that is where you'll cover this type of information. Also, users may want to know about fees and if theya re required before usage. Maybe the link "Notices" should be changed to "Special Notices", or something similiar, if this is where you have special deals and events. Just a suggestion. At the very bottom of the page, I don't see the purpose of the messages that are appearing. As far as SEO, you need unique title tags where possible, as well as unique meta descriptions if possible. Wherever possible, make sure that images have "alt" tags to help SEO, and use h1/h2 tags if possible. You also need good textual content, on the main page, which search engines can pick up on, and as is there is very little that is beneficial. Plug in your site on this page and see what you get ( keepingin mind that there is temporary content ). http://site-critique.com/crawl-simulator.php. Notice that "Malaysia", "Deals", etc., show up only once, and these may be keywords/phrases you need to concentrate on for good search results. |
